Video Game Life.
(March 20, 2009)
Life is a game, only the chances are greater and the risks don't leave you with a game over screen asking if you want to press start to continue. The chances leave you with objects, just as those when mario has to decide if he wants to save the princess or not. The risks of killing the toads or getting that power-up is just the same in life. You can reach towards the princess and pass all the toads and power-ups along the way and win the game, but you are left wanting more. The need for victory makes people forget what they have forget along the way to it. The victory of money, fame, or love. But what about the happiness lost along the way, when you stop to think about it, did you really smell the roses? You see no one knows what will come next, no one knows what even came before. All we know is that moment we are in, whether we want to get out of it or not, the game doesn't restart and you don't get second chances. Take risks when you can, fight for love when you know it's right, let it go when you know it's wrong, and don't forget about those power-ups.
